My Google Nest Camera was reset back to factory settingMy Google nest Doorbell works but my backyard Nest camera will not open the application set up to ENTWR the last 4 digits of the Serial number .WTH and to top it off we just had a Tech. Guy at our house and he had no training on how to program my nest camera I PA8D / PURCHASED from another one of your Tech guys. $ 400.00 on this camera and I can not get it to be programmable to my phone like my nest Foorbell camera is programmed to the same phone.

Nobody from customer service ever helps. The Nest thermometer always has some kind of issue or another every couple of months. Something goes wrong with it, and I live in the heat of Texas, so every couple of months, my house ends up being 90 for days because I can't ever get customer service to help.

Cannot connect to Amazon Alexa. Most other companies allow you to speak to a live customer service representative, but not Nest. Recommend purchasing another WiFi thermostat from another company.

Some time ago Google bought Nest. I was told by Nest that my old learning thermostat would no longer be supported.
Google offered a discounted price to buy the latest. The new one is not supported by the Nest app. I had to install the Google Home app. I have six Nest Protects.
They are not supported in the Google Home app, only on Nest app. Google is no longer making Nest Protects. Two of mine are expiring soon. In Google's on line posts they are saying to use the new smoke detectors from First Alert which they say are a replacement for Nest Protect.
They say they and Nest Protects will both be supported in Google Home app. Firstly, the First Alert product is not yet available. FA says it should be by the end of May 2025. Secondly Nest support says thee FA units won't be supported on Google Home app, only on First Alert app.
So now I have to use three apps to do what I have been doing with just the Nest app.
Also, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR USERID IN THE NEST APP. Nest should not allow you to do so but it does. After changing it to my Gmail address I could no longer log into the Nest app. I was on the phone for over an hour with support and they finally told me I had to create a new Nest account and add all my devices to it.
Not a problem for the thermostat but for each Nest Protect I have to take them down, reset them to factory settings, scan the QR code on the back and add them to my new Nest app. My one camera can't be moved because it is attached to my old account which I can't access to delete it. Nest's suggestion was to unplug the camera, change my wifi SSID for 48 hours then reinstall the camera. I have lots of devices hooked up to my wifi so that isn't going to happen.
My advice for right now is to stay away from Google/Nest products. They may work things out in the future but buy at your own risk now.

It is not an easy transfer, and now all my devices have been dropped. The WiFi has been dropped, so I couldn't access the devices if I had them on the app.

I’ve even sent video feedback straight to them and nope…. Nodda!Don’t spend $200 bucks on these JUNK CAMERAS
I have 2 Google Nest outdoor wireless cameras, and the video quality is absolutely terrible. It misses events, and the cameras don’t last 2 weeks without having to be charged. Both of my cameras are absolute garbage!
Don’t waste your $$$
I have even sent video feedback, and they don’t do anything!
Night vision is horrible as well!

Verified Reviewer |First 2 representatives gave me referrals to get a hvac person to come fix my thermostat. Each site they gave me were invalid. Those businesses had no idea how to help me troubleshoot my Nest. The 3rd
First two reps gave me incorrect numbers and web sites to call. After 3 hours and the 3rd representative actually walked me through the steps to try and erase the settings.
It's still continues to automatically go on 75 which is too cold. I still need help.

I just bought a new Google nest floodlight camera. The floodlight will not turn on with the motion detector.
I have tried to call Google support in three different ways and been disconnected or hung up on. I assume if I cant get a hold of anyone I will be returning this.
Preferred solution: I want someone to call me and tell me how to fix the issue.
